Frequently Asked Questions
Reflects your audience’s needs.
What does the powerwashing service include?
This is right from our service authorization form: All home power washes include all siding, fascia, and face of the gutters to be washed. Does not include sheds, roof, decks, fences, patios, walkways, driveway, etc… unless those services were previously requested and agreed upon. Gutters that are stained or striped will need our optional gutter brightening service which is not included.
Is there anything I need to do to prepare?
Please make sure all windows are closed and locked . Please make sure to let us know if there are any windows, doors, or other areas that experience leaking during rain. Please make sure an exterior water source is available for us. We do bring our own water tank but do use your hose to refill our tank during the wash.
Do you need to hook up to my hose?
Yes/No
Generally, we do hook up to your home water supply. However a few times a year we are asked to bring our own water. If you do not want us to use your water simply let us know PRIOR to your service, and we can bring our own full tank for a fee.
Will your detergent kill my plants?
No! The only time we could have issues is if the plants are not maintained and/or not watered properly prior to us coming or if there is going to be a heat wave. Our detergent will not kill your plants, the worst that could happen is some browning of leaves. But like mentioned before if you take care of your plants and water them consistently then there should be no issues. The plants get watered prior, during, and after our service. The solution is very much diluted by this time and dissolves into simple salts. If there is a heatwave our detergent could technically augment your plants becoming dehydrated. If there is going to be a heat wave the technician will advise you that the plants will need additional watering after we leave for the duration of the heatwave.
What are the little black dots all over my siding?
Most often it is artillery fungus. Unfortunately we can’t remove artillery fungus. Artillery fungus are usually found in mulch. Removing contaminated mulch is the only defense against this nuisance of a fungus!
Do you wash aluminum siding?
No, we do not wash aluminum siding. Aluminum siding oxidizes over time, the paint then becomes chalky and lighter in sunny areas. After power washing, the home generally looks the same as before it was washed.
Will weather affect my appointment?
Light to moderate rain will not affect your appointment. During a heavy rain or in any unsafe weather conditions we may ask to reschedule. We can’t powerwash below 35°. We are available to powerwash from March through December. If you are having window cleaning or roof cleaning we will still come in light rain as it does not affect the service. If there is heavy rain we may still come and clean your interior windows and then clean the exterior on another day.
I am on a well is that an issue?
We do not pull water from your well, we only take what it puts out naturally. It is extremely rare for a well to run dry during a power washing. If you are concerned about your water we can shut it off in intervals of time. If you have concerns because you have low pressure or know for a fact your well is shallow let us know. We are capable of bringing our own water and not hooking up to your hose.
Do I have to be home when your team arrives?
If you are a first-time customer for power washing, roof cleaning, or gutter cleaning we would like you to be home but it is not required. We like to meet first-time customers so you can become acquainted with our team and be available to answer any questions you may have. If you can’t be home that is no problem, we will just need you to reply to an email containing a form authorizing us to work on your property. For window cleaning services we ask that someone be at the home while we are there.
Will powerwashing clean my windows?
We soap and rinse all windows, however pressure washing is not an effective means by which to clean windows. We do add certain soaps to aid in a more spot free rinse, but there still may be some streaking or spotting which may easily be wiped off with a towel by you. In our experience most home windows come out clean and spot free, it really depends on how hard your water is and how dirty the windows were prior to starting. Our window cleaning service is a separate, more detailed, service that leaves your windows clean and streak free.
